Dr. Amir Azarpazhooh (Azar)
DDS, MSc/FRCD(C) in Dental Public Health, PhD/FRCD(C) in Endodontics
Dr. Amir Azarpazhooh (Azar) is a certified dental specialist in two fields of Root Canal Therapy as well as Dental Public Health. He received his dental degree from Iran in 2001, his specialty training in Canada at the University of Toronto in Dental Public Health (2007) and Endodontics (2010), followed by his PhD (2011).
Dr. Azar is a practicing endodontist, with part-time private practices in Toronto and Huntsville as well as a hospital practice in Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto, providing endodontic care to patients when their medical, physical or mental status indicates the need for a hospital environment. A keen practitioner of evidenced-based dentistry, Dr. Azar has a passion for collaborative decision making in teaching and in practice. Hence, he approaches patient care with the best interest of the patient in mind.
Despite his heavy load of teaching, research and clinical practice, out of the office, he enjoys life with his wife and their dog, in traveling, cycling, photography, and gardening.
Dr. Zain Manji
DDS, MD, FRCD(C), Diplomate ABOMS
Dr. Manji received his Bachelor’s and Dental Degrees from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After completion of dental school, he continued his studies in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City, where he also obtained his Medical Degree and Internship in General Surgery.
After completion of his residency, he initially worked in New York City at both a busy Manhattan practice and in academics at Mount Sinai Hospital and Elmhurst Hospital Center as a Clinical Instructor. Since his move from New York City, he has been enjoying working in Brampton.
He is a board certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in both Canada and USA. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, registered as a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Manji is also a Board Examiner at the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Manji also enjoys giving back to his community at home and abroad. At home he maintains a position as an Instructor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry and is also involved in numerous outreach projects to aid the less fortunate.
He is surgical volunteer and a medical advisor for the MedLife, a not-for-profit organization that provides free reconstructive surgery to patients suffering from cleft lip and palate in rural India. He has also travelled to rural areas of Mexico to perform free cleft lip and palate surgery.
Dr. Manji is on staff at William Osler Health Centre and Mackenzie Health-Richmond Hill Hospital.
When not busy in the office, Dr. Manji enjoys spending his time with his family, photography, golfing and cycling.
Dr. Reza Termei
DDS, MSc/FRCD(C) in Periodontology
Dr. Reza Termei first became dentist in 2002 in Tehran, Iran. After moving to Canada he received his second Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors from University of Toronto while also being selected the top student in his class of foreign trained dentists. After practicing dentistry for a while, his interest in treating gum disease and implant therapy led him to receive his Master of Science (MSc) degree specializing in Periodontology from University of Toronto.
In addition, Dr. Termei has been involved in several teaching activities and research projects at the faculty of dentistry, University of Toronto. He has also received a number of academic and research awards. Dr. Termei is a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (FRCDC) and a member of Ontario Dental Association, Ontario Society of Periodontists and International Team for Implantology (ITI). Dr. Termei’s main professional goal is to provide excellent patient specific periodontal and implant treatment according to the very highest standards of care while maintaining his knowledge and skills updated through continuous education.
